Children's Shows

Spinndrift also do children's shows: a 20 minute shadow play set to music suitable for children of all ages (and mums and dads).  The shadow play is performed with four members of the band playing live whilst Isla operates the puppets.  The shadow play is based on a Native American Indian story about how the world was created and how it came to be that we have music.  Children are encouraged to join in and sing along at various points in the show.  Spinndrift have all the equipment to perform the show, all that is required is a plug socket, a dark room and a PA (depending on the size of the room).

Spinndrift are currently working on a new children's show based around musical sound effects and theatre devices which involves even more audience participation.  There is also a set of workshops that can be run alongside this show, in preparation for it.

Three members of Spinndrift also perform a 20 minute story which is suitable for older children (aged 8 and up) and adults.
